ABOUT LAWRDIAN · OUR STORY

“I didn't set out to build legal software.
I set out to solve a problem I couldn't
afford to keep living with.”

Lawrdian began with years of lived experience, a growing court record, and a question: why did every new filing feel like starting over?

WHY LAWRDIAN EXISTS

Built from the experience of managing the case.

After years of family court litigation, substantial legal expenses and eventually self-representation, I kept running into the same challenge: not understanding court procedure, but keeping an ever-growing record usable. My litigation is ongoing. Revised drafts multiply, documents appear across overlapping proceedings, and a single email can matter to several incidents or filings.

The cost isn't measured in legal fees alone. I've spent hundreds of hours organizing evidence, preparing filings and carrying the case in my head. I've considered returning to an attorney, but I can't know how long the litigation will continue or whether I could sustain the expense. I needed a way to preserve the original record, connect its evidence and build on work already completed instead of starting over.

That's why I built Lawrdian: practical case-management and preparation tools accessible at a fraction of what the same hours of preparation would cost. For family law professionals, the same connected record means less assembly and more time for strategy. Because the real value isn't just what you save. It's what you get back: your time, your focus, and more of your life with your kid, outside the courtroom.

THE TURNING POINT

AI could help with a filing. It couldn't be the case's memory.

Chat-based AI is good at the task in front of it: a draft, a summary, a question answered. But a family court case isn't one task. It's years of orders, filings, messages and rulings that all depend on each other.

Every new conversation could mean rebuilding context from scratch. Earlier work became fragmented across conversations and projects. Quotes and citations required line-by-line scrutiny because a confident answer is not the same as one supported by the record. The problem wasn't the AI. It was that there was no connected record underneath it. Lawrdian puts the record first, and the AI works from it.

The first idea was personalA reusable AI workspace that wouldn't require retelling the whole case every time.
The deeper need was connectionA way to see how one document led to a certification, a ruling and what happened next.
The product became a systemNot a collection of one-off answers, but a structured record that stays useful as the case evolves.
BUILT AROUND YOUR CASE

One problem. Two discoveries.

The goal was to demonstrate recurring patterns. The unexpected discovery was that reliable analysis first required a connected record.

01

Make the record usable

Connect events, messages, evidence, motions, certifications, orders and rulings without rebuilding the history for every new filing.

02

Make the patterns visible

See how claims, requests for relief and documented events recur across proceedings, with each connection tied to its source.

EVIDENCE. CONNECTED. INTELLIGENCE.

One record. Every relevant connection.

See what becomes possible when the case history stays connected.
